When you book a professional, the estimated fee is paid upfront and locked into our secure trust escrow wallet. The professional knows the cash is verified but cannot access it yet. Once the job is completed and you click "Approve Work" in the app, the funds are instantly released to the professional.
For customers, it is completely free to post jobs. A minor trust escrow fee (₹30) is added at checkout to handle escrow processing. For workers, we operate a 10% platform cut on successful orders. There are no registration fees or hidden monthly subscriptions.
Every worker must download Karyak Pro and upload their national ID (Aadhaar). Our backend connects with the government API system to verify names, dates of birth, and ID numbers. In addition, workers are vetted through rating systems and periodic physical validation before receiving the "Verified Gold" badge.
If a job is done poorly or the worker requests additional unauthorized payments, the customer can click "Dispute". This locks the escrow funds. Our admin console triggers a ticket where both the customer and worker upload verification photos. A Karyak admin reviews and settles the dispute within 24 hours.
